This is a series of videos that I (Undream) have created documenting the process of restoring a straight razor.  It pulls from many sources all over the internet, but, many of the methods in this video have been developed or perfected through experience!

Background

Tool list used in these videos

  • 4" x 36" belt / 6" disc Harbor Freight Bench Sander ($65-80)
  • Harbor Freight Drill Press ($45)
  • Variable Speed 5k-35k 395 series Dremel /w flexible shaft ($80)
  • Skil 9" bandsaw ($100)
  • Delta GR450 1700-3400rpm 8" Bench Grinder/Buffer with guards removed ($120)
  • Ball Peen Hammer, 4oz and 8oz

  • Horn from Masecraft supply
  • Bone from Pet Supplies Plus
  • 1/16" nickel silver rod from Texas Knife supply
  • #0 washers from Microfasteners
  • 3M wet/dry sandpaper in 220, 300, 400, 600, 800, and 1500 grits
