Somebody in the chat thought that my ban from SRP was a little over the top. Truth be told, I think that is wrong. The ban was asked for, and perfectly acceptable.  Nonetheless, a three months' ban seemed a bit over the top to some, and has resulted in a silent protest. I am publishing their avatars as a token of appreciation as well as to preserve their wit for posterity. Most of all, though, as a warning to myself and others not to disrespect the #1 forum rule: [http://www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/basic-honing/28952-passes-yellow-coticule.html#post293242 Sarcasm and rudeness will not be tolerated]...

How to edit a Wiki the easy way

  • For those of you who do not know how a Wiki works, or how its text should be formatted, do read http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing
  • The standard editing toolbar is nice, but you can save a lot of time and trouble by using a specialised editing tool:
    • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Text_editor_support has an explanation of how to install and invoke those tools.
    • If you are using Firefox (and you should be, for many, many reasons), a good thing to have is wikEd. Installation takes two mouse clicks, and the result is, well, extremely useful

A (not really) random collection of Avatars from SRP

Somebody in the chat thought that my ban from SRP was a little over the top. Truth be told, I think that is wrong. The ban was asked for, and perfectly acceptable. Nonetheless, a three months' ban seemed a bit over the top to some, and has resulted in a silent protest. I am publishing their avatars as a token of appreciation as well as to preserve their wit for posterity. Most of all, though, as a warning to myself and others not to disrespect the #1 forum rule: Sarcasm and rudeness will not be tolerated...
