a green Coticule that is said to be a little slower than the original yellow Coticule, but a bit finer. I can do all work that has to be done on a good razor with this stone only, from bevelsetting with strong slurry, to initial polish with diluted slurry, and finish with water only (even shave right off of the stone). I prefer putting the blade on the Naniwa 8k for pre-final polish and returning to the coticule to final finish. Adding some pastes will give you perfect edges. I rate my particular stone between Naniwa SS 8k and SS 10k. btw. these stones are pressure-sensitive, i.e the more pressure you apply, the stronger they cut or the less pressure you use, the keener the edge will be. I prefer holding the Coticule in my hands, for better pressuere control. Coticules will get better, if you learn to use them. Cheers

A green Coticule with a slurry stone that has a light green touch as well. But you can see the difference. This stone IS green
