Styptic Swabs

A styptic Swabs is a tool used for eliminating small cuts and nicks from shaving. The Swabs work by applying alum to the wound, which when introduced to the blood causes the vessels to contract which stops the bleed and removes the cut visually. The cut is still there but it doesn't bleed and isn't red since blood-flow to that particular area is constricted. Styptic swabs tend to hurt quite a bit when used, usually much more than the cut itself, but the pain fades away pretty quick and the swabs promotes healing. It also removes most itches and irritation if used as soon as you're done shaving. The Swabs come in a plastic folding box with 12 swabs that look like Q-tips.

How to Use the Swab:

How swab with the colored ring end up. Bend the tip gently to one side, until it "snaps", to release the liquid inside. Wait for the liquid to flow down into white tip. Apply directly to affected area.
