Smile grinding

Here is a small animation I made to show how I approach grinding a blade with a smile. The blank here isn't the best example, but the motion path is pretty accurate for what I try to do.

I use kind of a rolling motion from heel to toe. I may not start exactly at either end, but as I'm rocking it I keep an eye to make sure I'm covering the whole length. I also check the blank often to make sure I'm not hitting one spot too heavy, or too lightly as I go.
